Policy

Nurture

Children are very special to me and their well-being is my priority. I truly enjoy interacting and playing with each child and meeting his or her physical, educational and emotional needs. Your child will be loved, well cared for while in my care.

Although I am open for 10 hours a day it is our policy that a child can be dropped off for no more than 9 hours/day. Any extension of time will be charged at $5/minute cash.

Communication

I believe it is very important to keep an open conversation between parents and myself in order to be able to provide the quality care and education for children at Cherish Academy. As a parent, you may contact me at any time to see how your child is doing. You may reach me via text messaging, emails at anytime or phone only when the childcare is closed. Please feel free to offer suggestions, provide feedback both positive and negative to help me develop the best environment for your child in my care. To learn about your child's progress and for more detailed discussion I will be happy to set up a conference with you scheduled before or after child care hours.

Confidentiality

All information about children and their families is strictly confidential. Please do not ask me questions that could violate anyone’s privacy. If you need information about another family please contact them directly.

Hours of operation

Cherish Academy is open for Half day programs mornings at the start and in future afternoons Monday through Friday.

The program will follow the Fremont unified school district holiday policy.

Withdrawal from program

If you decide to withdraw your child from the program, you would need to give Cherish Academy a 30-day notice to avoid any loss of fees. You may either email or let us know in person of your decision. Cherish Academy also reserves the right to refuse service with a 30-day notice to any family if we think that the family has been conspiring, inflicting ill feelings or instigating other parents against the rules/policies of the Academy.

Here at Cherish Academy, my goal is to provide high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing environment. Following are the child care policies followed to provide such care.

Insurance

Cherish Academy carries general liability insurance.

Open door policy during COVID

Currently we will follow the COVID  guidelines as issued by State of California.

Illness

If a child has a fever that runs 100 degrees or more or is suffering from diarrhea parents will be contacted and asked to pick their child up at the earliest possible time. The child may return back once he/she is healthy and has had no temperature or an upset stomach for over 24 hours.
